Blog 19 my new favorite detox water

I found this on Pinterest
I drink this in addition to my regular water .
I brew dandelion root tea (60 oz h2o), splash of unsweetened cranberry juice and the juice of one lemon. I drink a pitcher of this each day -

Blog 18 -working Hard

Sunday morning and I am happy that I am moving on in the contest , I was concerned that it would be very close . I thought that I wanted to go to Dino's Saturday night as my reward, but reaching of goal of getting below 200 pounds ,Linguine and clams did not seem so important. So instead John and I split a subways sub( with only healthy options ) and walked up to the Maple festival twice. ( no fries , no gyros, nope i did have a few bites of cowboy popcorn).
I am finding the choosing the right options be it healthy food, exercise is nice when the benefits start to show, for me I think losing weight will always be a slow process - and it has to be a way of life, not a "diet" I have been in this lighten up for two years, sometimes more slacking than others , I started in 2013 over 220 now I am under 200, slow and steady , but as my trainer in boot camp states, always moving forward.

blog 17- Old friends

Wow- is all I can say, I ran into a co worker from my past- What an inspiration!!! She looks GREAT.
She has been working really hard at trying to improve her health. She has recently lost 90- yes I said 90 pounds-
It made the reality of working hard can truly have its rewards.  My scale is not moving- not for lack of trying- but not being vigalant about food choices.
I am going to boot camp class 5 nights a week- Working my but off- my son joined with me and he lost 12 pounds- I lost more in inches than I did in weight- I am signing up for another month.  I have found strength in numbers and I have a great group of work out buddies and an awesome, motivating trainer( Thanks Paul)

Blog 16 food choices

Food choices- sometimes it is so easy, sometimes it is the hardest decision to make - to eat healthy or not. This year I have made a choice to not eat anything that is frozen, or premade in a can-( I have eaten tuna from a pouch). This is hard. No more lean cuisines, no quick light soups. I am making my lunches at 5.30 am- resorting to a lot of salads.
I have gotten a lot of use of a few new gadgets-
I nice cast iron grill and a veggie cutter- .
I am also trying to stay away from most fast food- how ever in a pinch did hit up subway- I find myself at the store more often- buying fresh veggies- passing the chips are still hard- I thought for sure the weight would fall off- NOT.  It is a slow slow process.

blog 15 TGIF

I am glad this week is over. I am glad baseball season is underway (I am glad I am fitting into my old Indians shirts)
This has been a tough week- I have gone to boot camp all week- I skipped one day of yoga due to a migraine, the thought of downward dog with a head ache was just too much.
I am hoping to get some good walks in soon.. The temptation to eat some not healthy options was there all week- I just wanted the big platter of fries or the endless bowl of pasta but I reminded myself that fitting into clothes and be healthy had a bigger reward in the end- and thanks Jane because on Friday, John offered to bring me an Arby's fish sandwhich and from across the hall she yelled- EAT HEALTHY- so the fried fish got replaced with whole wheat, tuna and spinach! and lot's of H20
