Blog 37- Living Social Deal

I took advantage of a living social deal this week. Body Sculpting Classes-I have always wanted to try them, so since it such a nice deal I signed up for  a month of classes.
I thought it would be a nice treat for myself. I thought with all of the working out I am doing it would be just a nice class- Wrong! the class kicked my butt.
Two days later I am still feeling the class with every stair I climb and every time I take a seat at my desk. The second class is tonight. Good, I need to keep pushing.
The class was different from the boot camp at Lean Living-I loved Jessica"s class- my body hated the class -my knees and ankle could not keep up. We shall have to see how this next class will be.
Yesterday my mio pedometer  watch read close to 13,000 steps and I took it off at 8 pm- not the end of my day, but I had exceeded my 10,000 daily goal.
I know that this week at the weigh in I will be not happy, I know the scale is up.
My clothes fit better, my life is better and I know the weightiis only a number- but I will be sad,I feel like I have not done my best.
I can come up with a ton of reasons why- too many parties, too many baseball games, too little sleep, not enough self discipline - not one reason is good enough.
 - I just need put my head back into this and more than just the end date of July- I need to do it for me- and I feels so much better seeing a smaller me- I want to keep that good feeling going.

blog 36- has it been a week already?

Wow this week has gone by so quickly. It seems I am never home. My plan for this past week to drop a few pounds to make the weigh in easy - so far with every good intent my desire has not yet happened . I know where my problem lays- it is still the mindless snack as I walk through the kitchen to the laundry room - or as I clip a coupon or read junk mail - my hand travels to my mouth - I wish I had a zapper that I could zap my finger tip as a I reach for unnecessary snacking. I am not hungry, I am not bored just not sure why I do it - but I know where that is my problem lays .

Blog 35. Choices

As the end of this ljourney is coming closer and closer to the end I am realizing how many choices I am making naturally now.
I find that makes me happy. I put grape tomatoes in my lunch instead of fat free chips. Water is a constant - exercise is a pleasure - yoga calming, walking is exploring new territory . The scale is not dropping as fast as I would have hoped but the learning and living is better than any weight loss. I had my cholesterol check in January - I had it rechecked this week - my number dropped by 40 - how's that for number drop! I am not sure how the red scale will treat me this month - but my life improves every month.

Blog 34. Me and Mi Mio

I have a new gadget- Mi Mio watch pedometer.
I bought it from Ebay- it is an older model-but stylish and it really works.
It was investment of $14.00 and I did put a new battery in it
It was a bit confusing to use the first time. It keeps track of steps, calories burned age and a few more things, but I mainly use if for keeping track of my steps and the time of day- nice big digital read outs.
(I was using the nice pedometer I recieved from the Lighten Up  Program, but I would lose it, not place it right or forget it . )
This watch is much easier for me -
Not sure how a watch keeps track of my steps, but I havefound  that it is quite accurate.
I really gave it a chance to work last week when I let my son fish off the pier at Fairport Harbor and I walked 7000 steps around the town. The first few were up to the top of the Fairport by the Lighthouse. It was a great walk, I was suprised to see how nice the town was and the view were fabulous, but I am sucker for sunset views over any body of water, even Lake Erie.
